This would have been a 3/4 day stay and and the daily physiotherapy was 40 miles from home. Also I was rather anxious to have the surgery as soon as possible.
Whilst looking for private Clinics on the internet we came across Orthopaedic Riga. We compared the conditions and the overall impression we made of them, made us decide to go with them.
Our initial contact contact was on the 16th of January 2018 and within three weeks i had my surgery done. I have not regretted it for a single minute! Everything went smoothly and quickly. My husband was with me throughout the entire trip and the clinic and private patient room where we stayed was modern and spotless. The nursing staff could not be more caring, the Dr was outstanding and the physiotherapist was excellent! Dependant on your situation there is a fair chance that the NHS will refund you for your surgery done in Riga with Orthopaedic Riga and they will guide you, if you go down this route. I am more than happy to recommend Orthopaedic Riga and share my experience with anyone considering going to Riga for a joint replacement procedure.
